The Till must be opened to make a sale in SalonTouch. If you ever receive the message below when trying to make a sale the till must be opened first.
Opening the Till
- Click on the Register button at the top of the screen.
- Click on the Till button at the bottom
- Click Current on the pop-up menu.
- The label along the top right will say Saving will Open the till; If it says Saving will Close the till then the till is currently open.
- Count out the cash in the register and enter in the information in the appropriate locations.
- After all of the money has been counted out, click Save and the till will be opened.
Closing the Till
- Click on the Register button at the top of the screen.
- Click on Till at the bottom
- Click Current on on the left side
- The label on the top right side will say "Saving will Close the till" - which means the till is open.
- Count out the cash in the register, the credit card receipts, and the miscellaneous items such as gift cards used if any and enter in the information in the appropriate locations.
- After all of the items has been counted out, click Save and the till will be closed.

Click Print to generate a till balance report.
- This will display the totals that the computer expects and the totals the employee entered. If the totals do not match, the shift report did not balance and the till will need to be looked at.
